The Role of Translation in the Currents of Migration as the Medium of Intercultural and International Communication
The conference, co-organized by Istanbul Aydın University and Istanbul University, will take place in 13-14 April 2017. All translation scholars, academics, researchers, translators, interpreters, students and other interested parties are welcome to attend the event and contribute their studies.
The Conference languages will be English and Turkish. Participants are required to submit a 300-word abstract of their papers prior to the due date specified above. Studies on any language and culture associated with or focusing on translation will be eligible, provided the papers are submitted in conference languages. The Screening Committee will evaluate the eligibility of submissions. The final papers will be evaluated and coordinated by the Editorial Board for publication in the Conference Proceedings Book.
It is our sincerest hope that this august event will establish a platform for discussing the role of translation, translators and translation scholars within the global currents, furthering studies, development and practices in the field of translation and interpretation, while underlining their role in intercultural and international affairs.
We cordially invite all interested scholars, translators and academics to submit their paper proposals in an abstract (not exceeding 300 words).
